SUBJECT: Herring Street Brick Restoration Project
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Herring Street brick restoration project consists of removing existing bricks, re-grading the bedding layer, and re-installing the removed bricks along a portion of historical Herring Street, located between N Walker Street and N. Thomas Street.
This work will be done in conjunction with the 18-inch stormwater line repair on Herring Street. The contractor will remove the existing bricks before the stormwater repair and will complete the restoration after the line has been repaired.
This work can be completed by JNandlal Maintenance Services of Brandon, LLC, via piggyback of City of Lakeland bid No. 2023-ITB-078, Annual Brick Street and Streetscape Repair and Replacement Services, for $60,420.00.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with JNandlal Maintenance Services of Brandon, LLC, via piggyback of City of Lakeland bid No. 2023-ITB-078, Annual Brick Street and Streetscape Repair and Replacement Services, for the Herring Street Brick Restoration Project, for $60,420.00.
FISCAL IMPACT:
A budget adjustment is included in the agenda packet for $65,000 to be transferred to ST029 - IMPLMT307 - HERRING - Brick Road Restoration for this purpose.
