SUBJECT: Drane Street Brick Restoration Project - Change Order No. 1
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On November 13, 2023, the City Commission approved an agreement with JNandlal Maintenance Services of Brandon, LLC, for the Drane Street Brick Restoration Project for $174,733.50.
During construction, staff found it necessary to remove and replace additional sidewalks to meet the required ADA Ramp Slope at all four corners. Brick borders were installed where the previous sidewalk was lowered. Conflicts with existing utilities and existing 12-inch concrete in the locations where the new storm drains were installed required additional labor and material to install the new storm drains along North Evers Street and North Walker Street. The change order also includes replacement of storm drain metal trench grates that were stolen from the job site on January 9, 2024. Change Order No. 1 increases the contract by $25,426.40 to $200,159.90 for this additional work. The project completion date remains unchanged.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute Change Order No. 1 with JNandlal Maintenance Services of Brandon, LLC, in the amountof $25,426.40, for the Drane Street Brick Restoration Project.
