SUBJECT: Approve Contract for Dumpster Repairs with MCS Curtigan Group
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City's Solid Waste Department utilizes various types of dumpsters to contain garbage and recycling for the City's commercial customers. These dumpsters range from two to eight cubic yards in size with an average life expectancy of seven years. The useful life may be extended by four years with professional repairs.
The City seeks to piggyback the City of Lakeland agreement for Annual Repair of Steel Front-Load Dumpsters and Roll-Off Container Services approved on November 6, 2023.
The initial term of the agreement shall terminate on November 5, 2026, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods under the same terms and conditions. The projected expenditure for the full term of the agreement is $173,000. This represents $25,000 in FY24 and $37,000 each subsequent fiscal year. Repairs will be made as needed and with no obligation to assign a minimum amount of work.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with MCS Curtigan Group, Inc. for dumpster repair services.
