SUBJECT: Spencer Street Sidewalk Improvements
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Spencer Street sidewalk improvements project consists of the installation of 120 LF of sidewalk at the corner of Spencer Street and N Alexander Street. The work includes construction of a concrete retaining wall to complete the gap between existing sidewalks on Alexander Street and Spencer Street. This project is part of our FY2020 Interlocal Funding Agreement with Hillsborough County for a sidewalk expansion project through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
This work will be completed by Florida Asphalt & Concrete, LLC, via piggyback of Hillsborough County bid No. ITB-23-24281 Sidewalk Repair - District 3, for $120,685.25.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Florida Asphalt & Concrete LLC, via piggyback of Hillsborough County bid No. ITB-23-24281 Sidewalk Repair - District 3, for the Spencer Street Sidewalk Improvements Project, for $120,685.25.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is $68,987 available in the CDBG Fund, CIP# CS010 - CDBG Madison Park/Wilson Elementary Neighborhood for this project. The additional funding for the contract plus project contingency will be transferred from CIP # ST009 - Sidewalk project. A budget adjustment is included in the agenda packet.
