SUBJECT: Legislative public hearing for map amendment PC/CPA 22-19 located at the southwest corner of County Line Road and Medulla Road.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The applicant is requesting a Future Land Use designation of Plant City Commercial for a 5.7± acre site located west of County Line Road on the southside of Medulla Road. The subject site is currently designated as Hillsborough County-Residential-1. The immediate development pattern consists of single-family residential on large lots, a church directly south, agricultural lands and a cemetery across County Line Road to the east.
The Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission (6-0) and Plant City Planning Board (5-0) found this map amendment consistent with the Plant City Comprehensive Plan on March 13, 2023, and February 28, 2024, respectively.
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Commission adopt an ordinance approving PC/CPA 22-19.
FISCAL IMPACT
Increased potential for commercial development.
