SUBJECT: Utility easement agreement with the School Board
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City of Plant City Utilities Department maintains meters and backflow preventers located throughout the City. A new fire backflow preventer was constructed for the School Board at 901 S Evers Street. The easement agreement will allow access for Utilities' personnel to perform annual testing and any maintenance that may be required. The Utilities Department will maintain these new facilities within the proposed easement.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission adopt a resolution approving the easement agreement and authorizing the Mayor to sign said Easement Agreement on behalf of the City.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fire backflow preventer will go into the Utilities Department inventory and be included in the maintenance programs.
