SUBJECT: Vehicle and Equipment Purchase
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Due to the recent addition of two Inspector positions in the Building Department, work vehicles are needed for these positions. Two Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks are available from Stingray Chevrolet via piggyback of Florida Sheriff’s Association Bid FSA23-VEL31.0 in the amount of $48,420.30 each, or a total of $96,840.60.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase two Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks from Stingray Chevrolet, via piggyback of Florida Sheriff’s Association Bid FSA23-VEL31.0 in the amount of $48,420.30 each, or a total of $96,840.60.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Fleet Fund has $120,000 available and will be divided equally into project strings F1035 and F1036 with a budget adjustment in the agenda packet. This amount will also cover the cost of outfitting these trucks with necessary safety equipment and equipment storage.
