SUBJECT: Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The State of Florida Mutual Aid Agreement is a critical framework designed to enhance emergency fire response efforts across the state by facilitating the sharing of resources among local and state entities. This agreement empowers the City of Plant City to both provide and receive assistance during emergency activations, ensuring a more effective and coordinated response to disasters and other major incidents. By participating in this agreement, Plant City can leverage a broader array of resources and expertise, significantly bolstering our ability to manage emergencies.
This mutual aid agreement not only exemplifies intergovernmental collaboration but also enhances our preparedness and resilience, safeguarding lives and property, ensuring access to support during critical times and extending resources to assist others throughout the state.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute this mutual aid agreement for intergovernmental fire services support during critical times.
