SUBJECT: Revised ARPA Project Listing
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On December 13, 2021, the Commission approved projects to use the $19,905,927 available from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Since the City elected to use the maximum $10,000,000 toward governmental services, the remaining $9,905,927 was allocated for investments in the Water, Sewer, and Broadband Infrastructure category.
Since SR 39 South came in under budget and Park Road is rapidly moving, staff recommends transferring the budget allocation between the projects. Both total budgets will remain intact, and this will allow the City to claim the Park Road expenditures through the ARPA grant.
Therefore, staff recommends approval of the revised list of projects as the ARPA spending plan, which complies with the U.S. Department of Treasury Guidance.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission adopt a resolution to approve the revised spending plan related to the American Rescue Plan Act.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Based on approval, this spending plan will utilize the ARPA funds. Since the total for each project is unchanged, a budget amendment is not necessary.
