SUBJECT: Second Modification to the Interlocal Funding Agreement between the City of Plant City and Hillsborough County CDBG Program for Fiscal Year 2023.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City annually receives an allocation from Hillsborough County's CDBG Program to fund public facility improvements and other eligible Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program activities. The Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023 agreements have $643,924.84 unexpended CDBG funds to be used for projects in Sidewalk Improvements, Street Resurfacing, and for the administration of the projects. This modification incorporates the incomplete work and unexpended funds from the previous year's agreements into the current FY 2023 Agreement. This work is identified in the modification as Scope of Work B and Scope of Work C. Scope of Work A has been completed. A construction contract has been awarded for Scope of Work B and this work is expected to be complete by the end of December. The remaining Scope C work is design related and can meet the required completion schedule.
This modification requires that all funds are expended by August 31, 2025.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission adopt a resolution approving the second modification to the funding agreement effective April 5, 2023 between the City of Plant City and Hillsborough County relating to the funding of the Community Development Block Grant for Fiscal Year 2023 and authorize the Mayor to execute said agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the CDBG Fund based on the projected grant revenue listed in the agreement. Org # 15055700 Obj # 463406 CIP # CS011 - CIP # CS012.
