SUBJECT: Contract with Agilant Solutions, Inc.for Network Upgrades.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Information Technology has a proposed refresh cycle on network equipment for every five years; however, the City has utilized its existing switches for 10 years. Due to end-of-life on switches, Information Technology proposes to conduct a refresh of its existing switches to stay current with evolving technology. Staff is seeking to replace thirty-five network switches that have reached end-of-life with newer equipment, which will ensure continued network reliability.
The total cost to purchase thirty-five new switches is $257,000, which includes assistance with configuration and migration of the new equipment to the City’s network, and five years of support/maintenance.
HPE Aruba switches can be acquired from Agilant Solutions, through piggyback of Florida Department of Management Services contract 43210000-23-NASPO-ACS-FL, for $257,000.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission approve a resolution authorizing the City Manger, or his designee, to execute the purchase of thirty-five network switches from Agilant Solutions Inc. for $257,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the General Fund, .Org # 00151600 Obj # 464105 - Network Equipment Refresh.
