AGENDA REPORT
DATE: February 10, 2025
TO: City Commission
FROM: Bill McDaniel, City Manager
SUBJECT: Miscellaneous Structure Repair Study
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City owns and maintains thirty-seven (37) bridge, culvert, and other drainage structures throughout the City. Five (5) of these structures meet the Federal High Administration’s definition of a bridge under the National Bridge Inventory (NBI) and are inspected by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The remaining thirty-two (32) structures are to be inspected routinely by the City.
This project entails inspections on the thirty-two (32) structures and producing a preliminary engineering report on those structures to outline deficiencies, repair alternatives, repair recommendations, repair quantities and cost, and prioritization of critical deficiencies for repair.
Utilizing the City’s continuing contracts for engineering services, staff developed Engineering Work Order (EWO) 21-020-02F-01 with Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp. (KCA) for this study.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute Engineering Work Order 21-020-02F-01 with Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp. for structure inspections and the Preliminary Engineering Report, in the amount of $123,636.96.
