SUBJECT: Lift Station 20 Generator Replacement
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Utilities Department, in coordination with General Services, obtained a quote from Tradewinds Power Corporation under the Florida Sheriff's Association (FSA) Contract No. FSA23-EQU21.0, Specification #168. The quote is for a new 30kW generator to replace the existing 20-year-old unit at Lift Station 20, located at 2106 National Guard Drive. This will be a turnkey project managed by Tradewinds Power Corporation. As part of the project, the contractor will remove the existing generator and deliver it to the Fleet Division for salvage.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the purchase of a new 30kW generator for Lift Station 20 from Tradewinds Power Corporation in the amount of $52,074.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the Water/Sewer Fund CIP # UM019 - Lift Station Pump and Generator Replacement.
