EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Utilities Operations Division uses bulk 12% sodium hypochlorite for the disinfection of water and wastewater as required by federal and state regulations and for ensuring public health.
The City's Agreement with Odyssey Manufacturing Company (Odyssey) for supply and delivery of bulk 12% sodium hypochlorite for $1.32 per gallon ends on May 26, 2025 with no renewals remaining. The City can continue to use Odyssey through piggyback of Clay County Contract 20/21-A5 for $1.53 per gallon. The term of this agreement is through March 7, 2026, with two additional single year renewal terms provided that the Clay County contract is renewed. This method allows the City to take advanttage of the economies of scale that come from piggybacking a larger entity. Annual usage is approximately $470,000.
