TO: City Commission
FROM: Bill McDaniel, City Manager
SUBJECT: Ellis-Methvin Pedestrian Connector Bridge
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Rick Lott Tournament Management Facility was completed in July 2024. Upon completion, a scope of work was developed to design and administer construction for a pedestrian connector bridge. This bridge will span the pond, linking the new facility to the existing walking path and providing direct access to the four diamond fields.
Utilizing the City's continuing contracts for architectural services, staff developed Architectural Work Order (AWO) 22-011-01A-05 with ASD|SKY for architectural design, planning, feasibility analysis, and construction administration. The not-to-exceed cost of this work is $82,860.00 and time for completion is 14-16 weeks from Notice-To-Proceed.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute AWO 22-011-01A-05 with ASD|SKY for architectural design, planning, feasibility analysis, and construction administration for the Ellis-Methvin pedestrian connector bridge for $82,860.00.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the CIP # PK025- Ellis-Methvin Boardwalk.
