SUBJECT: Solid Waste Roll-Off Container Hauling
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Solid Waste Department utilizes a waste disposal contractor for hauling “roll-off” containers for commercial customers. These are extra-large containers used to hold construction material or industrial-sized trash compactors. There are currently 62 accounts with a varying number of containers and service frequencies. The annual esimated service points is 4,500. These containers are either owned by the City, contractor or customer. The customer pays the monthly fees on the City's utility bill.
The current service provider is Republic Services of Florida and their contract is expiring without any renewal options remaining. Invitation for Bid (IFB) 25-002SW-JS-IFB, Roll-Off Container Service, was published on February 13, 2025 and received 8 responses.
