SUBJECT: Citywide Employee Uniforms
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City provides uniforms to approximately 185 employees in various departments. These uniforms are acquired through an agreement with Unifirst, via piggyback of Sourcewell Contract 040920-UFC. This contract expires on May 22, 2025, with no renewal options remaining.
Sourcewell has procured a new uniform contract and the City can continue service with Unifirst through Sourcewell Contract RFP011124. The term of this agreement is through March 25, 2028, with three additional single-year extension options. This agreement will be used on an as-needed basis. The approximate Citywide annual value of this service is $90,000 and the City can switch to the new contract without any interruption in service.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Unifirst Corporation, for Citywide uniform services, via piggyback of Sourcewell Contract RFP011124.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The annual cost for this service is budgeted in the various department/divisions that purchase the uniforms.
