SUBJECT: Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an FDOT State Funded Grant Agreement for a transportation network study.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Attached is the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) State-Funded Grant Agreement, FPN 454843-1-14-01 for $500,000 for a transportation network study to address existing and future growth, transportation needs, costs and project prioritization over a 20-year planning horizon. The agreement provides that the project must be completed before November 1, 2026, which includes the compilation/collection of data to form a comprehensive GIS inventory of existing facilities, review of operational characteristics, analysis, and feedback from the community about goals and priorities, and an implementation approach for projects to align with available funding sources.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the Mayor to execute an agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation for a transportation network study.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The agreement provides $500,000 for a transportation network study. A budget adjustment is included in the agenda packet.
