SUBJECT: Resolution setting a legislative public hearing for map amendment PC/CPA 24-06 located at the northwest corner of County Line Road and Swindell Road.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The applicant is requesting a future land use designation of Plant City Industrial for a 14.6 ± acre site located at the Northwest corner of County Line Road and Swindell Road. The site is within the boundary of the Northeast Plant City Master Plan and consists of properties designated Hillsborough County Residential-1 and Light Industrial.
On September 9, 2024, the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission (5-2) found this map amendment consistent with the Plant City Comprehensive Plan and on March 26, 2025, the Plant City Planning Board (4-3) found the map amendment consistent with the Plant City Comprehensive Plan. Attached for your consideration is a staff report from the Planning Commission analyzing and finding map amendment PC/CPA 24-06 consistent with the Imagine 2040: Plant City Comprehensive Plan.
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Commission adopt a resolution setting a legislative public hearing for PC/CPA 24-06 on June 9, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT
Potential increase for industrial development.
