SUBJECT: Dr. MLK Jr. Recreation Complex Parking Lot Improvements
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The existing parking area at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex is an open grass area containing drainage swales which become extremely wet during the rainy season. This project will design the parking area to maximize its capacity, address stormwater issues, and join it to the Sadye Gibbs Martin Community Center overflow grass parking area.
Utilizing the City’s continuing contracts for engineering services, staff developed Engineering Work Order 21-020-02D-02 with DRMP, Inc. for the design and permitting of new paved parking lots.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute Engineering Work Order 21-020-02D-02 with DRMP, Inc., in the amount of $105,034.85.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$75,000 is available in CIP # PK029 - MLK Rec Center Complex Parking. A project budget adjustment is included in the agenda and a budget adjustment is included in the CRA agenda.
