SUBJECT: Annexation agreement from Brittany Halstead and Zachary
Patterson (2606 Jim Johnson Road)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The agreement for water service petition for annexation (“Annexation Agreement”) includes the property located at 2606 Jim Johnson Road. This property is owned by Brittany Halstead and Zachary Patterson, who wish to obtain potable water service from the City. The property, located in unincorporated Hillsborough County, cannot be annexed because it is not contiguous to the City limits. The property owner is requesting an Annexation Agreement with the City to connect to the City’s utilities and concurrently petitions the City to annex said property into the corporate limits of the City of Plant City immediately upon the City's determination that the property meets the legal requirements for annexation.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission approve a resolution accepting the Annexation Agreement from Brittany Halstead and Zachary Patterson.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no cost to the City for this agreement. The Utilities Department will serve additional customers, which will generate revenue in the Water/Sewer Fund.
