SUBJECT: Commercial Alley Brick Road Restoration
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Commercial Alley Brick Road Restoration project consists of removing existing brick & asphalt pavement, leveling and compacting the bedding layer, and installing new brick pavers along the City-owned alleyway between N. Collins Street and N. Palmer Street, North of E. Reynolds Street.
This work can be completed by JNandlal Maintenance Services of Brandon, LLC, via piggyback of City of Lakeland bid No. 2023-ITB-078, Annual Brick Street and Streetscape Repair and Replacement Services.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with JNandlal Maintenance Services of Brandon, LLC, via piggyback of City of Lakeland bid No. 2023-ITB-078, Annual Brick Street and Streetscape Repair and Replacement Services, for the Commercial Alley Brick Road Restoration project, for $72,906.80.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This project will be charged to the CRA Fund, CIP # ST029 - Brick Road Restoration. Since this commercial alley is within the CRA district limits, and the project balance is low, a budget adjustment is included in the CRA agenda to increase the budget by $73,000 for this brick road restoration project.
