SUBJECT: Legislative public hearing for map amendment PC/CPA 25-03 located on the West side of North Alexander Street, South of Sam Allen Road.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The applicant is requesting a future land use designation of Plant City Industrial for a 15.77 ± acre site located on the West side of North Alexander Street, South of Sam Allen Road. The site was annexed into the City in November of 2024 and is within the boundary of the Northeast Plant City Master Plan and consists of properties designated Hillsborough County Residential-1.
On June 9, 2025, the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission (9-0) found this map amendment consistent with the Plant City Comprehensive Plan and on July 23, 2025, the Plant City Planning Board (6-1) found the map amendment consistent with the Plant City Comprehensive Plan. Attached for your consideration is a staff report from the Planning Commission analyzing and finding map amendment PC/CPA 25-03 consistent with the Imagine 2040: Plant City Comprehensive Plan.
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Commission adopt an ordinance approving PC/CPA 25-03.

Potential increase for industrial development.
