SUBJECT: Agreement for Purchase of Dumpsters from Iron Container, LLC
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Solid Waste Department seeks to purchase new steel dumpsters from Iron Container, LLC via piggy-back on their agreement with the City of St. Petersburg (IFB-24-293).These dumpsters will be used for new accounts, service level increases, and to replace dumpsters that are beyond repair.
Iron Container, LLC is the current provider of steel dumpsters for Plant City Solid Waste through a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing agreement, but the agreement with St. Petersburg contains better prices. The initial term of the agreement ends on January 31, 2030 and has one 3-year renewal option.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with Iron Container, LLC for the initial term through January 31, 2030 and an optional 3-year renewal.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The projected budget expenditure for the initial term of the agreement is $305,757.
Funds are available in the Solid Waste Fund.
