SUBJECT: Walden Lake Community Association Local Government Neighborhood Improvement District Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-26
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On behalf of the Walden Lake Community Association Local Government Neighborhood Improvement District, the City of Plant City pay the annual state special district certification fee of $175. This amount is included in the General Fund budget. This agenda item is to recognize the budget as part of the Walden Lake Community Association Local Government Neighborhood Improvement District.
Although the Board of Directors has the authority to approve annual assessments on the properties within the District to fund the costs of the safe neighborhood plan, the Walden Lake Community Association agreed when the District was established to “bear all financial responsibility and liability associated with the implementation of the Plan” (See Indemnification Agreement). The costs incurred by the Walden Lake Community Association are attached.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board authorize a resolution to approve the budget for the District as part of the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are appropriated in the General Fund, Org # 00151901, Obj # 434000 – Other Contractual Services to pay the annual state certification.
