SUBJECT: Resolution confirming the appointment of Michael J. Healy as Assistant
City Attorney
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
After an exhaustive search, the City Attorney has appointed Michael Healy as Assistant City Attorney, subject to confirmation by the City Commission. Michael has served as the General Counsel for the Lee County Clerk of the Circuit Court since 2017 and has recently resigned as Geneal Counsel effective November 14, 2025. If confirmed, he will start as Assistant City Attorney on November 17, 2025. He will be moving from Cape Coral to Plant City.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission confirm the appointment of Michael J. Healy as the Assistant City Attorney.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The costs for salary and benefits are included in the City Attorney’s budget for 2025-2026.
