SUBJECT: Miscellaneous Facilities Construction and Renovation Services
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City periodically requires services from a contractor to perform moderately complex construction and renovation work at various facilities and sites. The anticipated work may include, but is not limited to the following: interior building repairs/renovation; new building construction; building expansions; renovations; demolition; additions; re-roofing; exterior building repairs/renovation; site work; utilities; landscaping; electrical; mechanical; plumbing; special construction; and, turn-key projects. Through a piggyback with Hillsborough County, Florida and New Vista Builders Group, LLC (New Vista), dated April 6, 2022, New Vista has agreed to provide these services on an as-needed basis. The contract is for miscellaneous facilities construction and renovation services as authorized by Work Order.
The term of this agreement (25-070EN-RB-PB) will commence on the effective date of October 14, 2025 and remain in effect through April 5, 2026. This agreement may be extended at the sole discretion of the City Manager for one additional two-year renewal period under the same terms and and conditions of the contract.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute contract 25-070EN-RB-PB with New Vista Builders Group, LLC, via piggyback of the Hillsborough County contract, for as-needed construction services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding would be committed on a work order basis.
