SUBJECT: Interlocal Funding Agreement with Hillsborough County for
the Community Development Block Grant Program FY 24
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners conducted a public hearing to give citizens an opportunity to express their views on projects that were proposed for funding under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program. The City of Plant City project activities identified at that meeting were included in the Hillsborough County Consolidated Planning Document Action Plan which was submitted to and approved by HUD. This agreement provides funding to the City of Plant City in the amount of $367,152.
Project: $300,000 for drainage, road and sidewalk improvements on Woodrow Wilson Street from West Lowry Ave to CSX right-of-way.
Administration: $67,152 to administer the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission adopt a resolution approving the agreement between Hillsborough County and the City of Plant City for funding from the Community Development Block Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2024, and authorize the Mayor, City Attorney, and City Clerk to execute the agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
A budget adjustment is included in the agenda to allocate funding in the CDBG Fund and provide for estimated revenue that will be posted to Org # 15030000, Obj # 331540 - Community Development Revenue.
