SUBJECT: NET Facility Services Contract Price Increase
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On October 24, 2023, the City Commission entered into an agreement with NET Facility Services, LLC for janitorial services for city buildings, with set rates through October 25, 2025 with the option for a 4% increase at renewal. NET Facility Services LLC requested a 7.9% price increase for FY 2025-26 based on a combination of consumer price index increases and significant minimum wage increases.
This renewal will remove the Winter Visitor Center, Planteen Recreation Center, Fire Station 1, Battalion Chiefs house, and Public Works building, which will lower the overall cost of the original contract from $287,518.08 to a revised contract of $279,495.36. Although the amendment decreases the overall cost of the contract, the cost for the remaining departments will increase by $20,500 annually across all funds. This increase will be absorbed by the departments within their budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to amend the agreement with NET Facility Services, LLC. for the 7.9% increase and remove the five previously mentioned locations, effective October 25, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment will result in a decrease in annual expenditure for the City. Budget is available under Obj # 434000 - Other Contractual Services within the departments that continue to utilize the service.
