SUBJECT: Contract with Himes Electric Company, Inc. for field lighting
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Parks division operates over 180 sports field lighting poles at various athletic complexes citywide. Each pole requires significant maintenance throughout the year, including bulb replacements, wiring repairs, ballast replacements, and more.
Himes Electric Company, Inc. has been completing repairs over the last five years through Alternate Vendor Selection due to their ability to service all aspects of our needs that are beyond the capacity of our Facilities Maintenance team. As quotes and invoices can range from $2,000.00 to $25,000.00 , the department would benefit from a piggyback contract for procurement needs.
Himes Electric Company, Inc. can provide services as needed through piggyback of Hillsborough County contract No. ITB-24-24467. Annual usage is approximately $55,000.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a contract 25-056PK-JG-PB with Himes Electric Company, Inc., through piggyback of Hillsborough County contract No. ITB-24-24467, for sports field lighting maintenance on an as-needed basis.

Funds are available in the Parks Maintenance Division: Org # 00153901 Obj # 443200 -Light System Maintenance
