FROM: Bill McDaniel, City Manager
SUBJECT: Teakwood Drive and Thackery Way Stormwater Pipe Repairs
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Streets & Stormwater Department identified the need for miscellaneous improvements to the existing drainage infrastructure at Teakwood Drive and Thackery Way. The recommended repair and maintenance of these locations will address long-term drainage system deficiencies. The scope of work for repair includes lining existing pipes with a seamless, standalone, cured-in-place-pipe-within-a pipe (CIPP) technology. To address these issues efficiently and cost-effectively, staff recommends proceeding under the existing contract with Flotech Environmental, LLC to install a pipe lining solution with grouting and sealing all fractures and defective joints. The quote for the repairs, in accordance with the current agreement, is $471,613.56.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a Work Order No. 2 with Flotech Environmental, LLC, pursuant to Stormwater Sewer Rehabilitation Agreement No. 25-053SS-CSPB, in the amount of $471,613.56, for the CIPP rehabilitation of numerous storm sewer pipes with grouting and sealing all fractures and defective joints along Teakwood Drive and Thackery Way.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the Stormwater Capital Improvement Fund, Org # 34756601, Obj # 434000, CIP # SW014 - Stormwater Drainage Pipe Rehabilitation.
