SUBJECT: Roof replacement of 1914 Building
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The roof of the 1914 Building, replaced in the 1990's, has exceeded its useful life and become increasingly costly to maintain. Many of the repairs completed since the last replacment now require significant additional maintenace.
On November 13, 2024, the City of Plant City was awarded a grant through Hillsborough County to support improvements to the 1914 Building. This grant will allow the City to seal the exterior envelope of the building and maintain the building's integrity. The roof replacement is the first step in this process.
The City of Plant City received a proposal from Garland/DBS, Inc., in the amount of $446,844.00 to replace the building's roof. The City can complete this project with Garland/DBS Inc., via a private purchasing cooperative Omnia Partners contract #PW1925.
