SUBJECT: Budget Amendment for Fiscal Year 2025-26
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
City Commission approved the Library Expansion (LB004) project for $1,000,000 using Community Investment Tax revenue. However, the Library Impact Fee fund has sufficient fund balance that could be used for this project. The Rowena Mays Athletic Park needs Construction Engineering and Inspection (CE&I) services during the development of the park (PK027) at a cost of $270,000 and was presented to the Commission this evening.
Therefore, this budget adjustment does the following:
• Reduces the use of Community Investment Tax revenue by $730,000
o Decrease of $1,000,000 for the Library project and increase of $270,000 for the Rowena Mays Athletic Park project
• Increases the use of Library Impact fees by $730,000
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission adopt a resolution to approve an amendment to the budget for the year ending September 30, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Based on approval, a budget adjustment will be posted with line-item detail as shown on the attached resolution.
