SUBJECT: Reappointment of Michael Cameron as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Safety Employees Retirement System.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Adopt a resolution reappointing Michael Cameron as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Safety Employees Retirement System.
RECOMMENDATION:
The term of Trustee Michael Cameron expired on August 3, 2026. Mr. Cameron was reappointed by the Board of Trustees of the Safety Employees Retirement System on August 4, 2026. As provided in Section 175.061, Florida Statutes and Section 2-258, Plant City Code, once the Board of Trustees has made the appointment and submitted the name to the City Commission, then “the City Commission shall, as a ministerial duty, appoint such person to the Board as its fifth trustee.”
