SUBJECT: FDOT Landscape Maintenance Agreement for Interstate 4 and Park
Road
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) plans to install landscape improvements along Interstate 4 and N. Park Rd interchange. FDOT wishes to enter into a Highway Landscape Maintenance Agreement for the City to maintain the improvements at the City's cost. The agreement would begin from the date of execution for a period of ten (10) years with options for ten (10) annual renewals.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a Highway Landscape Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation related to landscape improvements along Interstate 4 and N. Park Road and authroize the City Manager to execute future renewals of this agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon the start of the City’s maintenance, the annual estimated cost of $17,000 for grounds maintenance is included in the General Fund- Parks Division, Org # 00153901, Obj # 434000- Other Contractual Services
