SUBJECT: Time Extension Amendment to Piggyback Agreement with New Vista
Builders Group, LLC for Miscellaneous Facilities Construction
and Renovation Services
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City periodically requires services from a contractor to perform moderately complex construction and renovation work at various facilities and sites. The anticipated work may include, but is not limited to the following: interior building repairs/renovation; new building construction; building expansions; renovations; demolition; additions; re-roofing; exterior building repairs/renovation; site work; utilities; landscaping; electrical; mechanical; plumbing; special construction; and, turn-key projects. Through a piggyback with Hillsborough County, Florida and New Vista Builders Group, LLC (New Vista), dated April 6, 2022, New Vista has agreed to provide these services on an as-needed basis. The contract is for miscellaneous facilities construction and renovation services as authorized by Work Order.
This agreement (25-070EN-RB-PB) became effective as of October 14, 2025, and remained in effect through April 5, 2026. Hillsborough County has since extended their agreement through June 30, 2027. City staff would like to utilize this agreement further and is requesting approval to extend the City’s agreement to June 30, 2027, to allow staff to finalize projects that are in process.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a time extension amendment to contract 25-070EN-RB-PB with New Vista Builders Group, LLC, via piggyback of the Hillsborough County contract, for as-needed construction services through June 30, 2027.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding would be committed on a work order basis.
