DATE:                                          May 27, 2026

TO:                                          City Commission

FROM:                                          Bill McDaniel, City Manager

SUBJECT:                     Mike Sansone Park Replacement Restrooms

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In Fiscal Year 2026, The City Commission approved a Capital Improvement Plan for restroom replacement Citywide.

Mike Sansone Park is home to Plant City Little League and hosts approximately 40 baseball/softball tournaments annually. The aging restroom structures suffer from poor plumbing, inadequate ventilation, and poor cleanliness.

Modern prefabricated restrooms with efficient fixtures, proper ventilation, and easy-to-clean materials will enhance hygiene, comfort, and overall satisfaction for families, athletes, and event attendees.

Two replacement restrooms at Mike Sansone Park can be purchased and installed by the Public Restroom Company via piggyback of Sourcewell Contract No. 052725.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a purchase order with the Public Restroom Company via Contract No. 26-034PK-PB for two replacement restrooms at Mike Sansone Park.

Two Restrooms at Mike Sansone Park: $398,194.00 each

Totalling: $796,388.00

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funds are available in CIP # PK051- Parks and Facilities Restroom Replacement
