SUBJECT: Agreement for the Asbestos Abatement and Demolition of 301
West Reynolds Street
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Staff requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors for the purpose of asbestos abatement and demolition of the former Post Office building. Bid 26-023CM-IFB was issued and eight vendors submitted bids. Below are the results of the bidding.

A recommendation of award was issued to JVS Contracting, Inc., and no protests were received. The demolition will be completed 120 days from when the Notice to Proceed is issued.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with JVS Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $194,900.00 for the asbestos abatement and demolition of the former Post Office building structure at 301 West Reynolds Street.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the 312 Community Investment Tax Project Fund.
