AGENDA REPORT
DATE: May 11, 2026
TO: City Commission
FROM: Bill McDaniel, City Manager
SUBJECT: Water Reclamation Facility Hydropneumatic Tank Removal and
Installation
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On March 9, 2026, the City Commission authorized the City Manager to proceed with procurement of a 15,000-gallon reclaimed water hydropneumatic tank under Section 2-143(11), Plant City Code. The Utilities Department has been actively coordinating the purchase of the new tank in accordance with this direction. While the tank procurement is underway, the associated removal of the existing vessel and installation of the replacement tank fall outside the operational and maintenance scope and capabilities of the Utilities Department, necessitating the use of a qualified contractor.
To support the timely and safe replacement, the Utilities Department recommends utilizing our existing agreement for Industrial Maintenance and Repair Services, 25-051UM-TG-PB, with H2 Enviro Solutions, LLC. The contractor will provide all labor and equipment necessary to remove and dispose of the existing tank, install the City-furnished tank along with all required appurtenances, including support system startup and commissioning. The total cost for the work is $59,850.00.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a Work Order with H2 Enviro Solutions in the amount of $59,850.00 for Water Reclamation Facility Hydropneumatic Tank Removal and Installation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the Water/Sewer Fund, CIP UM017 Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Equipment.
