AGENDA REPORT
DATE: May 11, 2026
TO: City Commission
FROM: Bill McDaniel, City Manager
SUBJECT: Engineering Work Order Modification 1 with Wade Trim
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City operates and maintains the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) located at 1500 W. Victoria Street. On January 12, 2026, the City Commission approved a work order under the continuing engineering contract RFQ21-020EN-FC with Wade Trim, Inc. to evaluate multiple facility components and develop repair and replacement recommendations throughout the WRF.
The Utilities Department has identified the need to expand the scope of work to include an evaluation of the existing roadway surrounding the pond. This roadway is used daily by multiple departments, and concerns have been raised regarding its condition and its ability to accommodate heavy equipment and truck traffic. This proposed modification adds a task for Wade Trim, Inc. to assess the roadway's condition and provide recommendations for appropriate repair and rehabilitation measures. The original work order amount is $76,054. Modification No. 1 adds $22,010 for additional scope. The revised total work order amount is $98,064.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute Engineering Work Order Modification 1 with Wade Trim, in the amount of $22,010, to evaluate the roadway around Water Reclamation Facility pond and provide the recommendations for repair and rehabilitation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost will be shared between Utilities Operation and Solid Waste Operating budget.
