                     AGENDA REPORT

DATE:                                          May 11, 2026

TO:                                          City Commission

FROM:                                          Bill McDaniel, City Manager

SUBJECT:                     Maintained Right-of-Way Map - Portion of S. Collins Street/James L. Redman Parkway (Alexander St to Alsobrook St)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

South Collins Street/James L. Redman Parkway has been regularly maintained and repaired by the City of Plant City for over 8 years since its transfer from the Florida Department of Transportation in June 2017. The road was constructed and improved prior to the transfer. However, the right-of-way limits between the segment of Alexander Street to Alsobrook Street are not accurately reflected. Pursuant of Florida Statutes (F.S) 95.361, the correct right-of-way limits of the road shall be deemed dedicated to the public.

A filing of this map is to be performed in the Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court of Hillsborough County and later reflected on Hillsborough County Property Appraiser GIS.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Commission adopt a resolution to accept and approve the map that illustrates a correct representation of the right-of-way limits within the portion of South Collins Street/James L. Redman Parkway between Alexander Street to Alsobrook Street.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.
