SUBJECT: Plant City Housing Authority Appointment
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
There has been a vacancy created due to the resignation of Housing Authority Board Member Jim McDaniel. Florida law provides that the "Mayor, with the approval of the governing body" make the appointment for Housing Authority members.
After reviewing applications received, Mayor Kilton has decided to appoint Marion Richardson, subject to the confirmation by the City Commission. It is recommended that the City Commission adopt a resolution approving the appointment of Marion Richardson to the Plant City Housing Authority Board to serve out the remainder of the four-year term commencing on January 1, 2023.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission:
Adopt a resolution appointing Marion Richardson to the Plant City Housing Authority Board.
