SUBJECT:                     Resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase a Modular Multi-Use 4x4 Emergency Response Vehicle under the Florida Sheriff's Cooperative Purchasing Contract FSA25-VEF19.0

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Plant City Fire Rescue requests authorization to purchase a modular 4x4 Multi-Use Emergency Response Vehicle to enhance the City's emergency response capabilities and strengthen community resilience. This vehicle will provide a versatile, all-terrain platform capable of supporting multiple mission profiles, including wildland fire suppression, high-water rescue, emergency evacuations, and disaster logistics, while addressing current operational capability gaps.

Its modular design allows the Department to adapt the vehicle to evolving emergency response needs, maximizing operational flexibility and long-term value. The purchase also expands the Department's standardized fleet, improving efficiency in training, maintenance, and deployment.

The cost of the vehicle off the Florida Sheriff’s Cooperative Purchasing Contract is $250,386 and the outfitting of the vehicle is estimated to cost no more than $15,000 bringing the total amount to $265,386.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a purchase order for a 4x4 Hybrid Modular Emergency Response Vehicle from Warrior Brush Trucks, via piggyback of the Florida Sheriff's Cooperative Purchasing Contract FSA25-VEF19.0 in the amount of $250,386.00, and authorize the outfitting of the vehicle not to exceed $15,000.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for this purchase is available in the General Fund.
