Expedited Engineering Plan Review Servies
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Utilizing the City’s continuing contracts for engineering services, staff developed Engineering Work Order (EWO) 21-020-01H-31 with Dewberry Engineers, Inc. (Dewberry) for the expedited review of Subdivision and Site plans. The initial EWO was issued December 2025 in the amount of $15,000. Modification #1 was issued in April 2026, increasing the amount to $25,000. This modification will further increase the amount by $20,000 for a total amount of $45,000. Requests for this service increased by almost 100% from Q1 to Q2, and by almost 50% from Q2 through Q3. This modification provides for continued increases through the end of the fiscal year.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute Modification #2 to Engineering Work Order 21-020-01H-31 with Dewberry, in the amount of $20,000 for a total amount of $45,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in 00154800 - 431010, Engineering Dept. Miscellaneous Professional Services. The cost of Expedited Reviews are reimbursed via payment from the Developer to the City.
