The purpose of the proposed text amendment is to amend current requirements regarding off-street parking and access management.

The text below summarizes the major revisions:

•                     Clarifies the requirement for sidewalks for new projects along roadways with no sidewalks.

•                     Allows Public schools to have 50% of their parking be 9 feet by 18 feet.

•                     Clarify which type of parking lots require pedestrian walkways.

•                     Require bicycle racks in all parking lots over 30 spaces.

•                     Clarify that parking lots can be accessed through a residential neighborhood when the non-residential use is integrated as part of a master planned project.

•                     Require roads to be brought up to City Standards as part of new development.
