SUBJECT: Cemetery Columbaria Construction Project
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Procurement Department published an Invitation for Bid (26-047CY-IFB) to construct cemetery columbaria and benches in three cemetery locations: Shiloh, Garden of Peace, and East Oaklawn.
The IFB results:
1. Sunset Memorial and Stone Ltd. Corp $264,512.00
2. SEMCO Construction, Inc. $649,211.00
The project consists of the construction and installation of three custom columbaria units that are multi-level, curved wall configurations, with imperial gray granite and premium black shutters. The design will be single-sided and will contain 128 niches per unit. Podiums, benches, and landscaping will also be installed.
Columbaria will offer cremation space and an alternative to in-ground burials.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Sunset Memorial and Stone Ltd. Corp. for the construction and installation of three columbaria for $264,512.00.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in CIP PK045- Columbarium Construction
