SUBJECT: Utility Extension from Colson/Holloway Road to State Road 60
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On December 13, 2021, the City Commission approved American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funded projects, including the extention of utilities along SR39 from Colson/Holloway Road to SR60. This project supports future land use goals, expands the City's service area, and includes approximately 5,300 linear feet of both water and force mains. This project does not include the recirculation station that will be needed in the future to ensure water quality standards are met.
Inwood Consulting Engineers (Inwood) is the Engineer of Record for the utility extension from Johnson Road to Colson/Holloway Road. Utilizing the City's continuing contracts for engineering services, staff developed Engineering Work Order 21-020-01K-02 with Inwood to provide design services for this project.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute Engineering Work Order 21-020-01K-02 with Inwood Consulting Engineers, for the design of utility extensions along SR39 from Colson/Holloway Road to SR60, for $261,401.00.
