SUBJECT:                     Modification #2 - Sadye Gibbs Martin Community Center Playground & Splash Pad Design & Permitting

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Utilizing the City’s continuing contracts for engineering services, staff developed Engineering Work Order (EWO) 21-020-01B-03 with Ardurra Group, Inc. for design & permitting efforts. Modification #1 consisted of corrections to task cost breakdown and did not result in any changes to the original total amount. Modification #1 was approved under the City Manager’s authority.

Upon review of the progress plans dated June 25, 2026, noticeable adjustments and improvements to the design were identified from the agreed concept plan. This included expanding sidewalk/pedestrian path width, adding entrance gates, built-in seating, reserved landscaping areas, grading, and necessary lighting at the playground and splash pad areas.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute Modification #2 to EWO 21-020-01B-03 with Ardurra Group, Inc., in the amount of $13,200.00 bringing the new total of the EWO to $92,722.00.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funds are available in CIP #PK028 - SGMCC Playground & Splash Park
